Tan Nipples are Here!

Photo shoot with Molly (the dolly)
Now available! Tan nipples! Oh, come on now, taking the pictures for my handmade items is always quite challenging and I finally have produced and taken photos of each scarf color with tan nipples. Molly, my model, was very patient during the entire session and only got mildly upset when I knocked her unattached head off.  [insert "heads were rolling" joke here]
Hopefully, I'll get my PayPal drop down boxes updated soon to reflect the new option and pictures.... yes I need pictures. I did get them up on ebay and Etsy (click a link to view all of the scarves)
Until I get my PayPal "add to cart" format changed, just leave me a message during the checkout process for tan nipples.

NOW AVAILABLE - Tan nipples!!
(I can make other nipple colors too)

~ETSY TREASURIES~

10/7/2012

My fellow Etsians have been quite busy creating treasuries! A treasury is a collection of 16 Etsy items that have a common theme. The theme can be a season, event, color, etc. Well, there have been a lot of treasuries going around for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Check out these treasuries that feature the Neck Knockers Scarf...

"Nice rack: Knit boobs scarf
pays homage to female anatomy"
By Yahoo News Canada

(READ THE ARTICLE HERE)

There are of course some interesting comments :) Unfortunately there is a bit of poor reporting with this one since for one the the scarves aren't completely knit as the title suggests and secondly it uses another artist's photo as a reference to my Neck Knockers Boob Scarf (I'm pretty sure with her permission too - yikes!) I'll take the exposure, but I'd like to see a bit of writing integrity.

*almost* SEEN ON THE TODAY SHOW!!
7/16/2012

Picture of the scarves I sent to the Today Show
On July 16th, the Today Show did a segment called "Things that make you go hmm" and asked me to send scarves for the segment! I sent a box of scarves in all the colors I currently make. While Bobbie, Inc who does the style section of the Today Show thought they would make a great addition to the show, NBC decided the scarves were too risqué for national TV. I did get mentioned in the write up about the show and although it's not the same as being in the spotlight it was still decent publicity. In retrospect, that kind of publicity may have produced more orders than this little ole sewer could handle :)

DETROIT RACE FOR THE CURE 2012

May 26, 2012 - What a glorious day to be PINK in the D! The entire morning was a mixture hope and comradery as thousands and thousands took to the streets of Detroit. Walking, running and sharing. This year, I helped set up one of the water stops, then participated in the 5K with the other 30,000 or so walkers and runners. It was all good.

Billboard in Detroit seen as Race for the Cures draws near
So many people are struck by breast cancer and so many lives affected and lost. Just this past Friday, after my shift at UPS I went into one of the ladies restroom that I never use and there in the locker section sat a young lady crying. I asked her if she was ok, obviously she wasn't, but it was the appropriate opening sentence. She told me that on the way walk in to work she received a phone call telling her that her mom had breast cancer. How awful. She was in so much emotional pain. All I could do was assure her that advances had been made medically to find a cure and that she needs to be strong for her mom. I walked away with a tear in my eye. I can't even imagine getting news like that.

MUSH FOR A CURE 2012

Some folks up in Minnesota participated in "Mush for a Cure" March 9-11, 2012. Despite what I'm sure were nippley conditions, together- with their teams of dogs leading the way- they "mushed" their way to raising $40,000 in support of breast cancer research!!

Nace, a very awesome photographer and entrepreneur, topped off his pink bathrobe ensemble with a Neck Knockers Boob Scarf. Looking good Nace....

This is Nace!

DETROIT RACE FOR THE CURE IS ALMOST HERE
5/11/2011

This coming weekend is the Race for the Cure in Detroit. There is a HUGE turn out for this 5K walk/run with a sea of 30,000 some people wearing pink! What a site! One of my breast cancer donations I made with a portion of proceeds from my handmade "boob scarf" went to Amy's Army! GO AMY!

All over the country people are prepping for annual walks and runs. Some are short like Race for the Cure and others extend over several days like the infamous 3-Day walks. One of the teams from the Atlanta 2-Day has commissioned me to create 20 boob scarves for their team mates. This should be interesting to see :) I happily donated the $2 per scarf to their local cause down there. GO TEAM MOTO CREW!! I'm waiting on Moto Crew's final decision on their custom tag for the back of the scarf and in the meantime I snapped this photo of some of the materials that go into making and packaging my boob scarves.
